On Tuesday, March 28, Nimesh Porbandarwalla and I will bring down the curtain on day one of Customer Engagement Insider’s premier 2023 online event, the Digital CX & Engagement Summit. For a half hour, Dr. Comfort’s vice president of marketing and business strategy will answer questions on integrating your digital marketing and customer experience strategies, prioritizing personalization and empathy while protecting customer privacy, learning from successes and failures, and the connection between DEI and customer success.

Nimesh Porbandarwalla is an entrepreneur, a challenge seeker, and a problem solver. Before taking over marketing and strategy for Enovis’s $75-million (Dr. Comfort) footcare solution business, Porbandarwalla was global marketing director for Dell, where he served for nearly a decade, starting out as a marketing program consultant and climbing up the proverbial ladder.

Today, Porbandarwalla is responsible for Dr. Comfort’s branding, marketing, digital, NPI, education, training and business strategies; from 2018 to 2021, he improved the brand’s net margin 9% and grew its consumer business by more than 50%. In 2019, he pushed the company into the black after more than a half decade of year-over-year losses.

To celebrate and preview our forthcoming conversation, I asked my friend a few more questions to gauge his mindset leading up to the next CEI Summit.
